After working at several different schools and camps, we decided to combine the best features of the programs we experienced and establish a camp in the Western North Carolina region.

We believe that all children learn differently, but that dyslexics are often the most misunderstood because of the gap between intelligence and ability to perform in school. Despite their best efforts they are often labeled as careless and lazy.

We plan to meet the needs of normal, intelligent children who are failing to meet their academic potential due to specific difficulties in reading, writing, and spelling. We will also provide camp activities that will be challenging and enjoyable.

Mission Statement
Camp Spring Creek is designed to empower dyslexic students to overcome their academic struggles while building their sense of self.

We will accomplish this by providing students with a multi-sensory systematic and sequential tutorial program that fits the individual needs of each student.

The students are immersed into a structured and supportive environment that encourages responsibility and perseverance. In addition we offer multi-sensory language training to educators and other interested members of the community.
