Camp Spring Creek accepts applications and resumes for all staff positions throughout the year. We do not discriminate because of race, gender, national or ethnic origins. Specific requirements are listed below:
Tutors: Preferable AOGPE accredited at the Associate, Certified or Fellow level. Strong foundation in Orton-Gillingham, preferably with practicum already completed. An interview with our academic director, Susie van der Vorst, is required.
Counselors: Preferably 21 years of age or older with a passion for teaching art, swimming, waterskiing, rock climbing, orienteering, or hiking. Counselors must be good role models for campers and enjoy the energy of children. An interview with our program director, Steve van der Vorst, is required.
General Staff: We hire many seasonal positions including chefs and prep cooks, dishwashers, housekeepers, and groundskeepers. An interview with our office manager is required.
Background checks are performed on all hired staff.
