Speaking of dyslexia... Susie was recently interviewed by Bruce Ikard of WTOE Radio (1470 a.m.), which reaches out to Yancey, Mitchell and Avery Counties. She helped listeners gain a better understanding of what dyslexia is, talked about Camp Spring Creek's summer program, and let listeners know how they can participipate in a recently launched GoFundMe campaign to help provide Orton-Gillingham training to WNC teachers.

Camp Spring Creek is committed to bringing awareness of dyslexia to our community. Dyslexia is a specific language-based learning difficulty that often interferes with the processing of language including reading, writing and spelling. Along with the hindrances that occur, individuals with dyslexia often possess many natural talents.
