An academic & recreational camp supporting dyslexic kids ages 6 to 14 in the Blue Ridge Mountains
>About Our Camp and Programs:

Camp Spring Creek, in Bakersville, North Carolina, offers 4 to 8 week summer programs for students ages 6-14 with dyslexia. We are accredited with the Academy of Orton-Gillingham Practitioners and Educators (AOGPE). Each of our camper receives daily one-on-one Orton-Gillingham instruction, guided reading, keyboarding/writing class, and study skills. Camp activities are carefully selected to build confidence in abilities and, of course, for fun. Lodging and meals are included. Space is limited so please contact us early.

Our camp is designed to empower dyslexic students to overcome their academic struggles through multisensory systematic and sequential tutorial programs to the needs of each camper. They are immersed in a structured, supportive and enjoyable environment that encourages responsibility and perseverance.

We offer comprehensive multisensory language training through the Orton-Gillingham approach to teachers, parents and other interested individuals. For details on these training and a current schedule, please call the camp office, visit our website or write: Susie@campspringcreek.org
