A
large number of individuals with dyslexia are gifted in the arts.
Knowing about the artistic talents of so many dyslexics, we created
the camp in a very rich area for the arts. We are surrounded by
incredibly talented artists and craft people, which we have involved
at the camp. We hire artists to come and teach or we go on -location
at many artists’ studios.
Some of the art
projects that we have done in the past include glassblowing,
marbleizing, mixed media sculptures, sand castings, iron sculpture,
clay building, mask making, bird houses, weaving, and culinary arts.
We are fortunate to be able to offer such an array of mediums for art
exploration. |
